Transportation

Approximately a 1-hour drive from Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) and 1.5-hour drive from Savannah International Airport (SAV). 20-minute drive from Brunswick Golden Isles Airport (BQK), serviced by ASA/The Delta Connection.

From Jacksonville

  • Take I-95 North from Jacksonville. You will enter Georgia.
  • Exit I-95 at Georgia Exit 29 (US 17/US 82 Brunswick/S Georgia Pkwy).
  • Merge RIGHT onto GA 25/US 17.
  • Drive 9.7 miles (crossing the Sydney Lanier bridge) and turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto F.J. Torras Causeway.
  • Drive 4.4 miles over the causeway.
  • After crossing the Frederica River bridge onto St. Simons Island, get in the LEFT traffic lane and veer LEFT onto Sea Island Road.
  • Stay in the left lane (traffic will merge into your lane from the right) and proceed straight through the traffic light at the intersection of DemereRoad and Sea Island Road.

Monday, August 26th:

Most arrivals will take place on Monday. For those arriving on Sunday and interested in optional activities available Monday morning, please contact us. You will have the opportunity to put together your own foursome for golf on the Seaside Course (home of the PGA RSM Classic) @ $165/pp, or a 6-hour Offshore Fishing excursion @ $250/pp. If you are interested in either of these activities, please contact me.

Event registration will be open Monday afternoon starting at 4:00, followed by a Welcome Reception featuring entertainment, cocktails, and heavy hors d’ouerves. Later that evening will be the President’s “Sweets in the Suite” Dessert Reception for Sponsors and all Wholesalers.

The Herman Miron Good Guy Golf Tournament will take place on Tuesday afternoon at the Seaside Course. For non-golfers, Attendees could instead choose to participate in The Spa at Sea Island, OR Inshore/Nearshore Fishing. [Click the Golf & Activities link (left) for details on these activities.] You will select your preferred activity when registering for the conference.

Tuesday evening we will provide shuttles into the nearby Sea Island and Redfern Villages for dinners in assigned small groups at area restaurants.

** Spouses are welcome to attend the Keynote sessions, and/or a separate Breakfast just for them, to get to know each other. If participating in Spa as their included activity, they can schedule their appointment at a time most convenient for them. If playing golf, we will assign spouses together in foursomes (unless otherwise requested).

Wednesday, August 28th:

Wednesday will feature a networking breakfast, followed by a full day of Person-to-Person Conferences (8am to 5pm). A Dance Card Request Form will be available to submit your appointment requests. Appointments will be scheduled for you, and your completed Dance Card will be emailed prior to the Conference.

Wednesday evening will feature our grand finale dinner event with announcements and awards.

Thursday, August 29th:

You are free to depart anytime on Thursday, however remember that discounted rate is available 3 days before and after our conference dates (based on availability), should you wish to extend your stay and enjoy this fabulous getaway location!

Person-to-Person Conferences

SSWA will schedule all appointments for the Person-to-Person Conferences. Every effort will be made to accommodate all requests, however many time slots get fully booked, so the sooner we receive your Dance Card Request Form, the better.

A copy of each individual’s meeting schedule will be emailed before the conference, as well as available at the conference, confirming your appointments.

As in the past, wholesalers will be seated at designated tables, and manufacturers will rotate to meet with wholesalers at the appointed times.

Manufacturers: Please limit the product / merchandise you bring to only what you can carry with you from table to table. (Wireless internet will be available.) There will be no display tables for product displays and you will be responsible for any delivery expenses incurred for shipments.

Golf

The annual SSWA Herman Miron Good Guy Golf Tournament will be hosted at the Cloister on the Seaside Course. A stunning classic and home of the PGA RSM Classic, the Seaside Course is a Tom Fazio re-design of the 1929 classic by famous golf course architects Harry S. Colt and Charles Alison. Seaside is an ocean-side links course that combines its beautiful natural setting with a golf course that is both challenging and fun.

Golf will take place Tuesday afternoon with a shotgun start in a shamble format.

Sea Island Spa
